Chelsea Sign Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from Leicester for £30m

Chelsea has secured the signing of midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from Leicester City for £30 million. The 25-year-old, who graduated from Leicester's academy and made 129 senior appearances, has signed a six-year contract with Chelsea until 2030. Dewsbury-Hall expressed his excitement about joining the club, stating it was a privilege to be part of a team he grew up watching.

The transfer, completed before the Premier League's profit and sustainability rules deadline, helps Leicester comply with financial guidelines. Dewsbury-Hall reunites with manager Enzo Maresca, who led Leicester to the Championship title last season. Dewsbury-Hall was named Leicester's player of the season and players' player of the season after scoring 12 goals and providing 12 assists in 44 league games.

This acquisition marks Chelsea's fourth summer signing, following Tosin Adarabioyo, Omari Kellyman, and Marc Guiu. The sale also alleviates some of Leicester's financial concerns, contributing to their efforts to avoid breaching Premier League sustainability rules.
